This month, we celebrate the tenth issue of RUNDELANIA the digital literary journal of the Arts and Literature Division of the Central Branch of the Rochester Public Library.

I caught up with Andrew who provided an overview of the first five years of the journal:
It has been 5 years now, and I think issue 10 is as good an issue as we have had. It is a great place for new writers to first publish but we have also had authors and poets who have generously contributed who are published by major publishing houses and who have won literature awards. This is what makes it unique. It is a mix of street poetry and the polished.
Central Library administration continues to be supportive. The immediacy of online media makes it even more important to be consistent though the temptation is not to be. We publish twice a year, May and November. It takes on a life of its own. The writers have made the journal and will continue to do so.
We also appreciate Talker of the Town, for its local focus, the attention it has given RUNDELANIA
and for your contributions.(left) THE SHADOWS WILL BE BEHIND YOU IF YOU WALK INTO THE LIGHT, inscription on the outside wall of the Rundel Memorial Building from RUNDELANIA publishes “A Phone Call to Manhattan”]; (right) David Kramer with the 2019 print edition of RUNDELANIA [Photo: Ron Freitag, library staff from Behold.
